ABOUT THE ARTIST

Amy Vachal

A soulful crooner with pop and folk sensibilities, Amy pens her songs in a style that melds the old-timey with the new. Stripped-down, her voice draws comparison to Billie Holiday, Fionna Apple, and Feist.

With a guitar or piano in hand her songs span influence from Bob Dylan to James Blake, Sam Cooke to Coldplay, Meiko to The Cranberries.

Her unique sound has taken her on the road with artists like Joe Purdy, M. Ward, and Jamie Lawson, touring across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Her love of painting is beginning to influence her study of production as she develops her sophomore album.
